How to use Cortana-friendly Sticky Notes in Windows 10 to keep track of tasks - montgomeryhandeall
One of the most interesting features of the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 is the beefed-heavenward inking capability. Particularly when combined with Cortana, which can call on hand into actionable tasks such as reminders.
It's a neat sport, and you don't have to be a style-wielding user to subscribe to advantage of it. Straight someone with a keyboard and mouse can use Cortana's smarts in collaborationism with the new Hard Notes app.
Hither's a preview of this new functionality, and how it currently works in the latest Insider Trailer Build of the Anniversary Update, before the raw bits roll intent on our PCs along August 2.
It all starts with Gluey Notes
Type in your monitor on a new sticky note.
Windows has had a collective-in Sticky Notes program always since Windows XP arrived nearly 15 long time past. Therein time, it really hasn't changed that much: You type something on a sticky note, and it sits along your desktop until you deal with it.
With the Anniversary Update, Microsoft is converting the old syllabu into a shiny, spic-and-span Windows Store app. IT's relieve an app that comes bundled with Windows, just today information technology's built on a different platform and it integrates with Cortana.
Creating a sticky reminder in the Day of remembrance Update
Here's how information technology works. First, eccentric Sticky Notes into Cortana's search debar and select the app, Oregon attend Start > S > Gluey Notes. The windowpane that appears doesn't facial expression all that incompatible from previous iterations—though thankfully the ugly handwriting font is gone.
Like a sho, eccentric in a reminder such as, "Remind Maine to download the Day of remembrance Update connected Noble 2 at 4PM"—I'm just using 4 p.m. as an exemplar; I have No idea what sentence the update will actually drop.
ClickAdd Reminder to send the new reminder to Cortana.
Now if you waiting few seconds, the "Aug 2 at 4PM" part will turn into a blue link. Click it and a button appears at the bottom that says Add Admonisher. Click Add Admonisher and Cortana pops up on the taskbar with your reminder ready to die (see the picture at the top of this post). Now click Remind in the Cortana panel and you're finished.
The reminder even out includes a copy of your original Steamy Note, which doesn't make much sense when you're typewriting simply would be reformatory for stylus users who want to see their own handwriting.
It feels like very much of stairs but it's really not. If you'ray not a fan of the new Sticky Notes method you can also set Cortana reminders through with voice commands or by bu typing them call at Cortana's search boxful.
